How to import existing listings into one inventory

ResellrHub editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12

An import should bring your existing marketplace listings into an organized catalog, not create another disconnected copy of your stock. Before importing, identify the source account and check whether those physical items already exist in your inventory. A small first batch is easier to inspect and correct than hundreds of records.

Prepare the source account and stock list

Sign in to the marketplace and check which listings are active, reserved or already sold. Note the seller account and listing identifiers you intend to import. If your catalog contains items from several sources, separate them by account before starting.

ResellrHub has imports for eBay, Vinted, Wallapop and OLX. Facebook Marketplace imports are not available. Confirm the current support table, your account’s eligibility and remaining inventory capacity rather than expecting every site or category to work.

Connect through the supported workflow

Open Connections in the app and authorize the account. eBay and OLX use their authorization workflows. Vinted and Wallapop session workflows require the extension and a marketplace session in the same Chrome profile. The extension has no independent popup to configure.

Complete sign-in and any security checks on the marketplace itself. If the app reports an expired or missing session, reconnect before importing. Never paste customer passwords or give a reviewer access to an administrative account just to demonstrate an import.

Select a small, representative batch

Choose a few listings covering the conditions and categories you use. Review the preview before importing. Select only the items you still own and intend to manage; a sold source listing should not become new available stock.

Keep a record of the original identifiers and URLs. After importing, compare titles, prices and photographs with the source page. An image may fail to download or a description may need formatting, so do not assume the preview is complete.

Reconcile duplicates and missing details

Use the physical item, its photographs and source identifier to detect records already in your inventory. A different title does not necessarily mean a different item. Assign or preserve a central SKU and inspect the storage location before creating a second available record.

Review condition, measurements, brand and marketplace category. Imported source fields do not necessarily satisfy another marketplace’s required attributes. Add missing facts from the physical item rather than guessing, and preserve visible defect descriptions when adapting the listing.

Validate the catalog before exporting

Open the imported item and verify its photos, price, availability and source listing link. Then prepare one destination listing and review its result. Importing and exporting are separate actions; a successful import does not mean other listings have been published.

Check the first batch again after a sale, including manual cleanup for destinations outside automatic coverage. Expand only after your SKU mapping is reliable. The inventory CSV template can help record this audit, but it is not a bulk-upload format for the app.

Your action checklist

  • Confirm the source account and active listings.
  • Check connection health and remaining item capacity.
  • Import a small batch first.
  • Reconcile physical stock before creating duplicate records.
  • Review every field before exporting elsewhere.
